The hotel is named after Cristóbal de Mondragón, a 16th century Spanish general. In 1575, he besieged Zierikzee on behalf of King Philip II of Spain and took the city. His name has been linked to Zierikzee ever since. Back in the sixteenth century, Mondragon stayed in the Oude Haven. And now you can follow in his footsteps and stay in one of Zeeland’s most stunning locations. When you enter the historic centre, you pass through the beautiful Noordhavenpoort where Hotel Mondragon is waiting, on your right. We will unload your luggage, park your car and show you to your luxurious room or suite.

A place where you don't have to or have to do anything in a relaxing atmosphere. Pick up a book, newspaper or magazine and settle down in one of the comfortable club chairs. Imagine yourself in an old social club, which is what the space used to be for. For decades, the notables of Zierikzee made many decisions here while enjoying cigars.
