Havenzaal

The Havenzaal offers majestic views over the inner harbour (Oude Haven) of Zierikzee. A grand yet inviting space, you will immediately notice the wonderfull carpet ‘Papillon’, designed and colour-styled for Mondragon by the celebrated French fashion designer Christian Lacroix. A lush, gorgeous feature that enhances the unique character of this function room.

With 80 m2 (861 sq ft), the Havenzaal can accommodate meetings of up to 25 people in a hollow square setup, conferences for up to 50 people in theatre style, dinners up to 60 people and receptions for up to 100+ guests. The Havenzaal is an amazingly versatile space. Naturally all regular and not so regular audio-visual resources are upon request at your disposal.

If you’re planning a festive dinner with friends and family, or with your social club, we have a series of fabulous three to six course menu's created by our chef, and a palate-tingling array of wines and beverages. Treat yourself and your guests to an evening of stately dining, with a table graced by candelabra and crystal glasses. And when outside the night falls, the lights inside creates an intimate atmosphere.

The Havenzaal can be accessed by elevator. The cosy, library-style Heerenkamer just opposite is a wonderful space to retreat to if you want a few moments to yourself, perhaps accompanied by a glass of whisky from our honesty bar. We’re looking forward to designing a package just for you!

Heerenkamer

At the very top of the historic ‘Tower of Mondragon’ (approx. 1590's) is Mondragon’s Heerenkamer, or Gentleman’s Lounge, where, of course, ladies are welcome, too! This characterful room with its dark timber beams oozes old-world comfort. During the day and in the evening, the Heerenkamer serves as a lounge for hotel guests to relax with a selection of newspapers, magazines and books.

For smaller private groups, the Heerenkamer can be made available for private dining up to 20 guests. And then you will be the ‘lord or lady of Mondragon’ for an evening and you and your friends can delight in our chef’s culinary offerings.
